For brand strategy agency The Lab, ‘alchemy’ describes their ability to transform something that seems to have little value (raw consumer research data) into something of great value (a brand proposition or brand strategy). Inspired by this approach we applied some of our own alchemic magic to the design concept.
Taking key statements from the manifesto we transformed simple raw materials (board, paint, chalk) into a typographic mural and used still images as the visual theme for the book, also capturing the process with time-lapse photography to demonstrate ‘alchemy’ in action.
